Elma C. Burbank, age 79, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 7:50 P.M. on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, where she was a resident. Mrs. Burbank was a homemaker and a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church and John D. Smith Post #10 Legion Auxiliary in Edgerton. She enjoyed collecting dolls and crocheting. Elma also enjoyed visiting the Edgerton Senior Center and playing BINGO. Elma C. Burbank was born on September 5, 1932, in Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond R. and Ethel C. (Curry) Karnes. She married her former husband, George Burbank, in 1952, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Ray Alan Burbank, of Aniston, Alabama; two daughters, Janice VeEtte (Ted) Hill, of Edgerton and Melanie Renee (Thomas) Hall, of Weaver, Alabama; two grandchildren, Krista Burbank and Destiny Hill; and one sister, Muryel Stark, of Bradenton, Florida. She was also preceded in death by one son, George William “Bill” Burbank, one brother, A.C. Karnes, and one sister, Pauline Hug. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton with Reverend R.L. Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to the Edgerton Food Bank.
