Michael A. Corl, age 59, of Camden, Michigan, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died mercifully at 6:05 P.M. on Thursday, March 15, 2012, surrounded by his family at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where he was a patient, after a courageous battle with a long illness. Mr. Corl earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University and was employed as a mechanical engineer with Parker-Hannifin, Hicksville, Ohio, for thirty-two years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, where he served as a lector for many years. While living in Bryan, he served as president and building chairman of Williams County Habitat for Humanity. He had also served as president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Youngstown, Ohio. Michael A. Corl was born on January 12, 1953, in Salem, Ohio, the son of George and Rose (Quinn) Corl. He married Robyn A. Grace on July 24, 1976, in Salem, Ohio, and she survives in Camden. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Guy (Julie Tumma) Corl, of Chicago, Illinois; two daughters, Lacey (Todd Wesche) Corl, of Swanton, Ohio, and Amber (Noel) Gaulard, of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandsons, Jackson and Brody Gaulard. Also surviving are his parents, George and Rose Corl, of Salem; six brothers and sisters, Diane (Mike) Ferreri, Nancy (Darryl) Hipps, Sharon (Craig) Harvey, all of Salem, George Stephen Corl, of Westminster, California, Jeff (Shelly) Corl, of Loraine, Oregon, and Scott (Tonya) Corl, of Clayton, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, followed by a scripture service at 8:00 P.M. Visitation will also be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, Salem, Ohio, and one hour prior to the service, in the funeral home. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in St. Paul Catholic Church, Salem. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Salem, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Banquet, c/o St. Paul Catholic Church, Salem,Ohio, the Solana Unit at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center or Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice.
