Michael L. McIlvain, age 49, died at 6:15 A.M. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in his home surrounded by family after an extended illness. Michael was a 1981 graduate of Bryan High School and worked as a plumber for several plumbing and heating firms in the area prior to retiring due to disability. He was an avid Ohio State fan and was an enthusiast of flight, collecting anything to do with airplanes and jets. Michael L. McIlvain was born on January 10, 1963, in Glendale, West Virginia, the son of Robert L. and Anna (Johnson) McIlvain, Sr. He was married to Cindy B. Waldvogel on December 17, 1994, in West Unity, Ohio, and she survives. Survivors also include his children, Dustin McIlvain, of Brooklyn, New York, Amanda (Daniel) DeGeneres, of Fort Bliss, Texas, Chase McIlvain, of Columbus, Ohio, and Brittany McIlvain, of Bryan; three brothers, Robert (Martina) McIlvain, Jr., of Bryan, Keith McIlvain, of Angola, Indiana, and Jason (Mindy) Wilson, of Bryan; one sister, Teresa (Jeff) Kimball, of Bryan; and his mother and stepfather, Anna (Glen) Wilson, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation celebrating the life of Michael L. McIlvain, will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will follow immediately afterward, beginning at 2:00 P.M., in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Rose Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Hospice and Home Health.
