Kathleen M. Goebel, age 90, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at11:45 A.M. on Monday, February 20, 2012, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, where she was a resident, after an extended illness. Mrs. Goebel was a graduate of Edgerton High School and was employed as a teller with Citizens National Bank for many years, at the Red and White Supermarket in Bryan, Ohio, and also at Airway Manufacturing in Edgerton. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. Kathleen M. Goebel was born on January 30, 1922, near Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Rudolph (R.T.) and Rose T. (Walsh) Davis. She married Cletus N. Goebel on January 11, 1941, in Edgerton, and he preceded her in death in 1989. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Flory, of Defiance, Ohio, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Imogene Stark, of Edgerton, and Audrey Davis, of Bryan, and one brother, Marvin Davis, also of Bryan, three daughters-in-law, Jean Goebel and Darlene Goebel, both of Edgerton, and Kathleen Goebel, of Sandusky, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by three sons, John, Jerry and Thomas Goebel, and three brothers, DeWayne, Denver and Thomas Davis, and one grandson, John Flory. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Father Art Niewiadomski officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to St. Mary Catholic Church or School.
