R. Undine Donze, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, February 6, 2012, in her home after a brief illness. Mrs. Donze was a 1939 graduate of Farmer High School and worked at the Ohio Art Company, for Ohio Farmers in Ney, Ohio, and also worked on the family farm with her husband. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Williams Center, Ohio, and was a member of the Ney American Legion Auxiliary and the Bryan VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, attending auctions and garage sales, and her grandkids’ ball games. For many years she was an avid camper at the Defiance County Fair. R. Undine Donze was born on May 20, 1922, in Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Ray and Edith (Crawford) Spangler. She married C.R. “Dean” Donze on January 24, 1948, in Celina, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on November 28, 1988. Survivors include one son, Jim (Tylene) Donze, of Mark Center, Ohio, one daughter, Shelly (Marty) Reagle, of Sherwood, Ohio, five grandchildren, Jilene Richards, Jennifer Filiatraut, Jami Speiser, Amanda Troyer, and Clint Reagle, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Zelda Higley, of Williams Center, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Herbert Spangler, and one sister, Frieda Lorntz. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Ron Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Ney Cemetery. Memorials are requested to Community Hospitals and Wellnesss Centers Hospital Hospice.
