Jane L. Youse, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Edon, Ohio, died at 9:42 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, where she was a patient, after an extended illness. Mrs. Youse was a 1958 graduate of Edon High School and was employed as a waitress and cook for many years at Lester’s Diner in Bryan, operated Jane Youse Furniture Refinishing and Antiques, and taught refinishing and caning at Four County Joint Vocational School for three years. She was a member of the Edon United Methodist Church and the DAV. Jane L. Youse was born on May 27, 1940, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Carlton C. and Lelamae (Kinnison) Newman. She married Richard O. Youse on June 4, 1971, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2004. Survivors include one daughter, Kristine Mae (Stan) Grimm, of Alvordton, Ohio; one granddaughter, Samantha Mae Grimm; two brothers, James Newman, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Joseph (Mary Lou) Newman, of Bryan; and one sister-in-law, Cheryl Newman, also of Bryan. She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Newman, in 1969. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon. Services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon with Reverend David Miller and Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Jane L.
