Burton L. Finch, age 73, of West Unity, Ohio, died at 10:02 A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at Evergreen Manor, Montpelier, Ohio, where he had been a resident for two weeks. Mr. Finch worked at Dinner Bell Foods in Archbold, Ohio, for thirty-four years, until it closed. He was then employed by Sauder Manufacturing in Stryker, Ohio, from where he retired. He enjoyed building things in his free time. Burton L. Finch was born on December 24, 1938, in West Unity, Ohio, the son of Gerald G. and Velma A. (Booream) Finch. He married Sandra K. Klopfenstein on September 12, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, and she survivies. Survivors also include one son, Burton L. Finch, Jr. and his wife, JoAnne, of Waterville, Ohio; one granddaughter, Bailey Finch; one grandson, Burton L. Finch III; two brothers, William G. Stine, of West Unity, and Gerald D. “Dalton” Finch, of Afton, Michigan; two sisters, Wilma Adams and Myrna (Doyle) Wines, both of Bryan, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Mae Finch, of West Unity; one brother-in-law, Seldon Schad, of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were two sons, Leonard Gerald Finch and Jeffery Alan Finch, one brother, Larry Finch, and two sisters, Cleora Kay Schad and Joan Martin. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 10:00 A.M.. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity. Memorials are requested to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
