Dorothy B. Kline, age 91, of Edon, Ohio, died at 5:00 A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2012, at Dream Haven in Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Kline was a 1940 graduate of Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Indiana. She worked for Holabird Manufacturing in Bryan until the plant closed and then was employed by Power Train Components in Bryan for many years into her eighties. She was a member of the Edon United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Indiana University basketball. Dorothy also enjoyed traveling with her husband of more than fifty years, reading, her flowers and birds. Dorothy B. Kline was born on December 7, 1920, in Waterloo, Indiana, the daughter of Willard D. and Daisy N. (Walker) Childs. She married Ray H. Kline on April 9, 1942, in Kendallville, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1994. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Kline, of Irvine, California; three sons, Jerry L. Kline, of Edon, Willard (Paula) Kline, of Bryan, Ohio, and John (Gala) Kline, also of Edon; five grandchildren, Melissa (Craig) Lagowski, Ron Kline, Laura (Chris) Speichert, Casey and Kendra Kline;and two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Lagowski. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Raymond Childs, and a sister, Hazel Hissong. Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor David Miller officiating. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 A.M., on Monday. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Edon United Methodist Church.
