Wayne L. Warner, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:10 A.M. on Saturday, January 7, 2012, in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Warner was a graduate of Bryan High School and worked for the City of Bryan, retiring with thirty years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as a supply officer in France during World War II. His memberships included Bryan AmVets Post #54, Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233, and the Williams County Conservation League, where he was an avid trap shooter. Wayne also enjoyed working on cars and collecting mantel clocks and would most likely be found engaged in lively conversation at many of the local coffee shops. Wayne L. Warner was born on March 19, 1928, in Bryan, Ohio, the son Ervin V. and Florence (Byers) Warner. He married Jeanne E. Krill on December 12, 1971, in Bryan and she survives. Survivors also include five children, Regina Warner, of Capistrano Beach, California, David Warner, of Hamilton, Indiana, Nancy (Dan) Apt, of Bryan, Monique (Ted) Thiel, of Edgerton, and Christopher Krill, of Bryan; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eloise (Charles) Kinney, of Reading, Michigan. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Warner, and an infant sister. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 3:00 P.M. at Grace Community Church in Bryan with Pastor Michael Kelly officiating. Private interment will take place in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Memorials are requested to Compassion Medical Clinic, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice or to the Williams County Conservation League.
