Paul E. Henricks, age 86, of Camden, Michigan, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at his home near Camden. Mr. Henricks was a graduate of Stryker High School and also graduated from auctioneering school. He was a lifelong farmer. He served in the United States Army with the rank of Staff Sargent during World War II and was a member of Bryan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2489, Bryan Am-Vets Post #54 and the Fremont, Indiana, American Legion. He and his wife were former owners of Mike’s Place in Bryan, Ohio, and the Blue Star and Double Tree in Montpelier, Ohio. He was a man who loved his family and whose spirit captivated those in any room he entered. Paul E. Henricks was born on February 6, 1925, in Fulton County, Ohio, the son of Chauncey and Ora (Whittaker) Henricks. He married Letty M. Easler on February 15, 1947, in Bryan, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on August 6, 2008. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Ann (John Custer) Friskney, of Camden, and Margene (Marty) Coulon, of West Unity, Ohio; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, M.B. Henricks, of Bellevue, Ohio, Hal (Myrtle) Henricks and Terry (Pat) Henricks, both of Montpelier. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Chauncey Paul Henricks, one great-granddaughter, Athena Marie Kane, and one brother, Bruce Henricks. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan with Bill Priest officiating. Private interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan, with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Memorials are requested to Woodbridge Fire and Rescue in Hillsdale County, Michigan, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
