Harold A. Leppelmeier, age 87, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 5:05 A.M. on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Parkview Nursing Center in Edgerton after an illness of one month. Mr. Leppelmeier was a lifelong farmer and drove school bus for Edgerton Local Schools for thirty-one years. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edgerton, where he was a longtime trustee. Harold A. Leppelmeier was born on November 8, 1924, near Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Howard and Lydia (Fischer) Leppelmeier. He married Norita Lee on July 13, 1951, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives. Survivors also include two sons, Ron (Cindy) Leppelmeier and Ken (Terri) Leppelmeier, both of Edgerton; one daughter, Jayne (Troy) Hile, also of Edgerton; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Ralph (Berneda) Leppelmeier, of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Visitation will he held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Zion Lutheran Church near Edgerton. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to Zion Lutheran Church or to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice.
