Russell L. Krill, age 91, of Edgerton, Ohio, died peacefully at 10:20 P.M. on Thursday, December 15, 2011, in his home. Mr. Krill was a 1938 graduate of Edgerton High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Edgerton Church of Christ, where he had formerly served as an elder and board member. He also served on the Northwestern Electric Board, the Federal Land Bank Board, the Williams County Soil Conservation Board, and the ASCS County Committee and was a member of the Farm Bureau Council. He currently was attending Life Changing Realities Fellowship in Edgerton. Russell L. Krill was born on May 21, 1920, the son of Albert C. and Inez M. (Fix) Krill. He married Letha A. Ensign on April 29, 1944, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on May 16, 1999. Survivors include one son, Darwin (Shirley) Krill, of Edgerton; two daughters, Diane (Mike) Walter, of Tippecanoe, Indiana, and Denise (Kevin) Harrell, of Lansing, Michigan; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and Bill (Janet) Reynolds, of Edgerton, who was raised as a son in the Krill family. Also surviving are one brother, Dean (Esther) Krill, of Edgerton, and a brother-in-law, Pete Traxler, of Bryan, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Willis Krill, and a sister, Fern Traxler. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in Life Changing Realities Fellowship church with his grandson, Pastor Shane Hargrave, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton. Memorials are requested to Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing, Michigan.
