Frederick John Nagel, M.D., age 67, a resident of Bryan, Ohio, formerly of Brecksville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Dr. Nagel was a graduate of John Carroll University, Cleveland State University and Medical College of Ohio. He practiced internal medicine at Marymount Hospital, Maple Heights, Ohio, for several decades prior to his early retirement related to complications from multiple sclerosis. Frederick John Nagel was born on September 1, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Carl Assad (Shukralla) and Victoria Bahry Nagel. He married Kathy Barrord in July 1982, in Cleveland, and she survives in Brecksville, along with their children, Jacqueline Nagel (John) Selph, of Toledo, Ohio, and John Frederick Nagel, of Brecksville. Also surviving are one sister, Carol Nagel (Mike) McInerney, of Bryan, a nephew, Michael McInerney, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and a niece, Carrie McInerney, of Telluride, Colorado, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2011, with Father James Halleron officiating. The family will receive friends at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, on Friday, December 2, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 P.M., with a scripture service at 8:00 P.M., and also at the Nosek-McCreery Funeral Home, 8150 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, on Sunday, December 4, 2011, from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Brecksville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ace Equestrian Therapy or the Cleveland Metroparks.
