Hilda Mae West

Hilda M. West, age 67, of Edgerton, Ohio, died on Sunday, November 27, 2011, in Defiance, Ohio. Mrs. West was a graduate of Fayetteville Technical School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and retired due to disability from Airway in Edgerton, where she worked in shipping and receiving. She attended the Edgerton United Methodist Church. Hilda M. West was born on May 13, 1944, in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of John Henry and Leona Viola (Emerling) Airgood. Survivors include her children, Debra Salaz, of Cecil, Ohio, John Houck, Sr., of Defiance, Ohio, Gerald Houck, Jr., of Lima, Ohio, Tiffany Nagy, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Dale West, of Edgerton, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Sue Siefert, of Washington, Utah, and Teresa Bloodworth, in Florida, and one brother, Tim McAlwayne, of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Daryl and Donica West. Services celebrating the life of Hilda M. West will be on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the Edgerton United Methodist Church with Reverend R.L. Barnett officiating.
