Ruth Anne Niday, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:45 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 2011, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, where she was a resident. Mrs. Niday was a graduate of Deshler High School and was employed as a teller at the Bowling Green Savings and Loan. She then was employed as an inspector at Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon, worked for Dr. Williams Chiropractic and later worked at ITT Higbea Company in Archbold, Ohio, from where she retired. Ruth attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan. Ruth Anne Niday was born on May 7, 1935, in Palmer Township of Putnam County, Ohio, the daughter of Chester and Nancy Fisher. After the early death of her parents, she was adopted and raised by Harold and Helen (Otto) Casteel. She married Dr. James L. Niday on August 26, 1956, in Deshler, Ohio, and he survives. Survivors also include three daughters, Lorinda (Steve) Keefer, of Morenci, Michigan, Cindra (Joseph) Keeler, of Bryan, and Elizabeth (Ross) Walter, of Montpelier, Ohio; one son, James L. Niday, Jr., of Edon, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edith LaRue and Sarah Roland. She was also preceded in death by her adoptive parents, two sisters, Evelyn Wagner and Jenny Williams, and one great-grandson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist and Bill Priest officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
