Earl LeRoy Bible, age 94, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 6:45 A.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bryan, where he had been a patient since February. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Bible worked as a mechanic and service station operator, having owned and operated Bible’s Sohio in Edgerton for over twenty years. He also was a school bus driver for both the Montpelier and Edgerton school systems and served as a volunteer fireman in Edgerton. Mr. Bible was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan and was previously a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church for fifty-three years. Earl LeRoy Bible was born on August 9, 1917, in Edon, Ohio, the son of Earl LeRoy and Alice Nettie (Zimmerman) Bible. He married Lillian Weber on December 14, 1941, in Delta, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are five children, Jean (Eugene) Darby and Sharon (Bob) Crowe, both of Montpelier, Ohio, Richard (Sandra) Bible, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Connie (Eric) Jacob, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Randy (Susan) Bible, of Bryan, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Olen Bible. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 10:30 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Dwight Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Memorials are requested to Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgerton United Methodist Church or the CHWC Train Project.
