Charles A. “Chuck” Ewing, age 49, of Edon, Ohio, died at 9:44 P.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a patient, after a brief illness. Mr. Ewing had most recently been employed by Defiance Metal Products in Defiance, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was discharged with the rank of Sargent. Charles A. “Chuck” Ewing was born on September 11, 1962, in Coldwater, Michigan, the son of George and Mona (Hicksenhiser) Ewing. He married Gail L. Mann on October 10, 2010, at George Bible Park near Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are three stepchildren, Nicole (Matthew) Rowland and Gary Charles Mann, both of Napoleon, Ohio, and Crystal (Jonathan) Shipe, of Clearwater, Florida, four stepgrandchildren, Raven and Roslyn Rowland and Jaden and Ethan McCord, three brothers, George Ewing, of Jonesville, Michigan, Bryant Ewing, of Austin Texas, and David Ewing, of Dallas, Texas, and twin sisters, Spring Benjamin, of Bryan, Ohio, and Autumn (Gary) Crawford, of Osseo, Michigan. Services for Charles A. “Chuck” Ewing will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Daniel Gallagher officiating. Interment will be private and there will be no public visitation. Memorial are requested to the American Heart Association.
