Jerry L. Bigger, age 70, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly a longtime resident of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 12:04 P.M. on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, where he was a patient. Mr. Bigger was employed at Edgerton Manufacturing until its closing. He then worked at Nemco in Hicksville, Ohio, and was a truck driver for Craig Transport until his retirement. His memberships included Trinity Bible Church in Edgerton and Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. He was a former member of the Edgerton Fire Department and Edgerton EMS Squad #38. Jerry L. Bigger was born on April 29,1941, in Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Clarence O. and Pauline J. (Nichols) Bigger. He married Eldora “Dorie” Lee Brown on October 8, 1960, in Edgerton, and she preceded him in death on October 29,1987. Mr. Bigger is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Jeff) Schiek, of Edgerton, and Darlene (Ray) Bartley, of Van Wert, Ohio; five grandchildren, Philip (Rachelle) Shiple, of Antwerp, Ohio, Stephanie (James) Bexten and Ashley Sinclair, both of Montpelier, Ohio, Erica (T.J.) Tomblin, of Boerne, Texas, and Douglas (Camara) Anderson, of Brookland, Arkansas; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his longtime companion, Delores Kelley, of Bryan; brothers, Clarence “Jim” Bigger, of Edgerton, Harold (Catherine) Bigger, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and John (Carol) Bigger, of Edgerton; one sister, Diane (Don) Chaney, of Hicksville; one stepbrother, Donald (Laura) Bigger, of Auburn, Indiana; and two stepsisters, Carolyn (Phil) Snyder, of Laotto, Indiana and Shirley (Bill) Wheeler, of Elkhart, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one stepsister, Cheryl Kurtz, and two stepbrothers, Robert and Ronald. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 22, 2011, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 23, 2011, at Life Changing Realities Fellowship, Edgerton, with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.
