W. Jack North, age 75, of Bryan, Ohio, died suddenly on Saturday, August 20, 2011, in Clinton, Tennessee. Mr. North began his employment as an over-the-road truck driver and retired from Ney Oil after forty-five years. His memberships included Bryan V.F.W. Post #2489 Men’s Auxiliary, Bryan Eagles and Montpelier Moose Lodge. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering with antique tractors. W. Jack North was born on November 28, 1935, in Center Township of Williams County, Ohio, the youngest of fourteen children of Lewis M. and Nellie M. (Jones) North. Surviving are three daughters, Linda (Merril) Mitchell, of Bryan, Patty Taylor, of Clinton, Tennessee, and Cindy Jackson, of Memphis, Tennessee, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Donna Lacy, of Bryan, Helen Grandey, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Rosemary Renn, of Marion, Ohio, and three brothers, Carl M. North, of Indianapolis, Indiana, F. Dean (Elsie) North, of Edon, Ohio, and John S. (Grace) North, of Bryan. Preceding him in death were three brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter, and two grandsons. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 26, 2011, in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Memorials are requested to Angie’s Fund at Bryan First Brethren Church or V.F.W. Post #2489 Men’s Auxiliary.
