S. LuAnn Sleesman, age 54, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 8:10 P.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a patient following a long illness. LuAnn had worked as a nurses assistant at Evergreen Manor and Hillside Country Living. She had previously worked at Winzeler Stamping and the Senior Center in Montpelier, Ohio. LuAnn Sleesman was born on January 6, 1957, in Angola, Indiana. She was the biological daughter of Johnny and Velma Bowen and adopted by Cleo and Ellen (Cape) Sleesman. Surviving are her companion of thirty-five years, Larry Bible, of Montpelier, her children, Chad Cleo Sleesman, Tammy Lynn Sleesman and Nichole Lee (Phillip) Towne, all of Bryan; her stepchildren, Rick Lee Bible, Ronald E. Bible, Randy L. Bible, Renee S. Swan, Ray M. Bible and Rachelle D. Croft, all of Montpelier; five grandchildren, twelve stepgrandchildren and ten stepgreat-grandchildren; her mother, Ellen Sleesman, of Edgerton, Ohio; her biological father, Johnny Bowen; her siblings, Robin & Terry Loveless, Tyler Bowen, Rob Bowen and John Bowen II, all of Montpelier, Bruce and Shirley Bowen, of Bryan, and Jane (Bob) Bowsher, of Edgerton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her biological mother, Velma Bowen, and her adopted father, Cleo Sleesman. Services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Don Harris officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home prior to the service, from 1:00-4:00 P.M. Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorials are requested to the family to help with expenses.
