Kathryn (Ruder) Reis, age 57, of Palm Bay, Florida, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Melbourne, Florida. Mrs. Reis was a homemaker and the widow of Thomas “Fritz” Reis, whom she married on January 1, 1986, in Palm Bay, Florida, and who preceded her in death in February of 2010. Kathryn Reis was born on March 7, 1954, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Roger and Norma (Welker) Ruder. She is survived by her five children, Steven (Janice) Scott, of Defiance, Randy Scott, in Florida, Julianna (Darren) Bok, of Hicksville, Ohio, Dennis Scott and Anthony Chehi, in Florida, one stepdaughter, Kimberly Reis, in Florida, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Sharon (Jack) Smith, of Paulding, Ohio, and Reba (Robert) Lee, in Tennessee, and four brothers, Randy (Sherry) Ruder, of Paulding, Willhelm (Brenda) Ruder, of Cecil, Ohio, Paul Ruder, of Defiance, and Jerry Ruder, of Napoleon. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and her siblings, Retha, Linda and an infant brother, Norman. Memorial services celebrating the life of Kathryn (Ruder) Reis will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. in Rosehill Church of God in Paulding, Ohio. Memorial contributions are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
