Omer G. Keller, age 90, of Edon, Ohio, died at 6:40 A.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Center in Montpelier, where he was a patient. Mr. Keller farmed for many years and owned and operated Keller TV and Appliance in Edon and then became a partner with his brother, Kenneth, in the Edon Hardware. He attended the Edon United Methodist Church, served on the Florence Township Fire Department for many years and was a police officer in Edon for a short time. Omer G. Keller was born on January 7, 1921, in Northwest Township of Williams County, Ohio, the son of Raye and Evoline (Haughey) Keller. He married Rachel L. “Becky” Kinnison on November 6, 1937, in Edon, Ohio, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Ruth (Kenny) Lyons, of Edon, ten grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Dora Hebbelthwaite, of Logan, Ohio, and Phyllis Haskins, of Jonesville, Michigan, and one daughter-in-law, Joan Keller, of Churubusco, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one son, Walter Keller, in 2005, and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio. Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Edon United Methodist Church with Reverend David Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Edon United Methodist Church or to the Florence Township Fire Department.
