Dennis H. Tinney, age 54, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 10:46 P.M. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier in the evening in Williams County. Mr. Tinney was a mechanic by trade and worked for Jess Lewis Transmission in Fort Wayne for seven years prior to moving to the Bryan area. He had been employed as a machinist at Powers and Sons in Montpelier, Ohio, since 1991 and was also a self-employed auto mechanic. Dennis was an avid Nascar fan and was proud of his custom truck and enjoyed attending and showing his truck at area car shows and cruise-ins, where he won numerous awards. Dennis H. Tinney was born on July 2, 1956, in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of Earl Dean and Mildred Eloise (Tingley) Tinney. He married Victoria M. Maag on July 1, 1978, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives Also surviving are one daughter, Lyndsay (Jamie) Villalovos, and one son, Ryan Dennis Tinney, both of Bryan, two brothers, David (Janie) Tinney, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Raymond Stark, of Montpelier, Ohio, six sisters, Suzanne (Gary) Shelton, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Carolyn (Dale) Runyon, of Merry Lake, Michigan, Laurie Tinney, of Bryan, Darlene Stark, in Indiana, Theresa Stark, of Columbus, Ohio, and Mary Kathleen (Shawn Avar) Stark, of Camden, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloise Stark and Earl Dean Tinney, one brother, Doyle Tinney, and his mother-in-law, Gloria Maag. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan with Pastor Byron Adams officiating. Interment will follow Brown Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
