Delma F. "Tiny" Newland, age 76, a longtime resident of Bryan, Ohio, died at the home of her daughter in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where she had resided for the last ten years. Throughout the years, Mrs. Newland had been employed at Pondersa, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Hardee’s in Bryan. Delma F. Newland was born on July 16, 1934, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Agnes (Walther) Spencer. She married Arthur B. Newland on August 10, 1953, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Raymond (Christena) Newland, of Bryan, one daughter, Debra (Curt) Blair, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Jim Spencer, and a sister, Betty Borges, both of Lima. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were five brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, on Friday, May 27, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, Ohio. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
