George H. "Bud" Dick, age 90, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:18 A.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, where he was a patient. Mr. Dick was a 1940 graduate of Bryan High School, where earned a FFA State Farmer certificate. He was a lifelong farmer and also a journeyman plumber working for Schultz Plumbing and Heating in Defiance for many years until his retirement in 1983. "Bud" was an active member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church, where he was currently the oldest living full-time member, the Pulaski Grange and Local 50 of the Plumbers Union. George H. "Bud" Dick was born on February 19, 1921, in Pulaski, Ohio, the son of Charles Franklin and Marcia Mae (Hamet) Dick. He married Mildred Mae Butler on December 1, 1943, in Stryker, Ohio, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Willis C. (Linda) Dick, of Collierville, Tennessee, one daughter, Kristene (James) Witte, of Effingham, Illinois, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marvel Schultz, and an infant son, Paul Robert Dick. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Pulaski United Methodist Church with Pastors Becky Ploughe and Melvin Peter officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to the Pulaski United Methodist Church.
