Louis E. Hernandez

Louis E. Hernandez, age, 48, of Fremont, Indiana, died at 1:23 P.M. on Sunday, May 15, 2011, shortly after admittance to Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola. Mr. Hernandez was a 1981 graduate of Stryker High School, where he was active in baseball, track and wrestling. He recently had been employed by Fremont Village Foods and was a volunteer track coach at Angola High School. He was also an avid Chicago Bears and Angola Hornets Fan. Louis E. Hernandez was born on December 21, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Carlos and Febe (Figuora) Hernandez. He married Teresa L. Porath on October 15, 1988, in Stryker, Ohio, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Joshua Mercer, of Hicksville, Ohio, Joy (Joe) Hurst, of Defiance, Ohio, and Izaiah “Z” Hernandez, of Fremont, one grandson, Kellen Hurst, and a sister, Grace (Tony) Gonzalez, of Bryan, Ohio. Also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Becky Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow in West Franklin Cemetery near West Unity, Ohio. Memorials are requested to the Kidney Foundation or to 4-Ever Friends at Angola High School.
