Mary L. Boysen, 89, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 7:35 A.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Hillside Country Living, where she had been a patient for two months. She was born on March 31, 1922, at Mount Zion in Williams County, Ohio, the daughter of Harley and Ada (Dean) Butler. She was a 1939 graduate of Bryan High School. Mary married Charles Boysen on February 14, 1942, in Port Clinton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on November 14, 1998. They had lived in various locations in California before returning to Ohio in 1968. While residing in Lyndhurst, Ohio, she opened her own secretarial business, which she operated until her retirement. She returned to Bryan in May of 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Laurajo (Jack) Hanus, of Okeechobee, Florida, a grandson, Joshua (Sara) Hanus, of Huber Heights, Ohio, and three great-grandchildren, Mindy, Mandy and Kaitlyn Hanus. Also surviving are two brothers, Donald Butler, of Bryan, and Robert Butler, of Torrance, California, one sister, Evelyn (Carlton) Hardy, of Bryan, and her nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan with Pastor Barry Sweet officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
