Ruth P. Cuenca, age 57, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 8:11 P.M. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Cuenca was a 1972 graduate of Bryan High School and lived in Edgerton for the past thirty-three years. She was a foster parent for eighteen years and provided in-home daycare for five years. She enjoyed sewing and was active in her church, Templo Cristano, in Archbold, Ohio. Ruth P. Cuenca was born on June 1, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Domingo and Juanita (Peña) Resendez. She married Pablo J. Cuenca on October 7, 1978, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are nine children, Jesse (Jennifer) Puente, of Tulso, Oklahoma, Gloria (Michael) Frisby, of Montpelier, Ohio, Junior (Nancy) Puente, of Edgerton, Mercedes Cuenca, of Artesian, New Mexico, Nathan Cuenca, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Yesenia Cuenca, Zacchaus Cuenca, Jennifer Cuenca and Michelle Cuenca, all of Edgerton, and thirteen grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Domingo (Vickie) Resendez, of Bryan, Esther Rubio, of Butler, Indiana, Peter (Yolanda) Resendez, of Bryan, Guadalupe “Wally” (Debbie) Resendez, of Edon, Ohio, Michael (Kim) Resendez, of Payne, Ohio, Millie (Francesco) Ramirez, of Wauseon, Ohio, and Elizabeth (Rosendo) Zuñiga, of Edgerton. Services celebrating the life of Ruth P. Cuenca will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. Visitation will held on Monday, May 9, 2011, in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M.
