David R. Bell, age 59, of Defiance, Ohio, and formerly a longtime resident of Ney, Ohio, died early Friday, April 22, 2011 in his home. Mr. Bell was employed as a Journeyman Millwright with G.M. Powertrain in Defiance, retiring with thirty-five years of service. He was a member of the U.A.W. and enjoyed woodworking and playing golf. David R. Bell was born on May 10, 1951, in Step Rock, Arkansas, the son of Jeffery I. and Phebe G. (Penn) Bell. He is survived by his children, Tonya (Robert) Roland, of Hicksville, Ohio, Cathy Bell, of Toledo, Ohio, and David (Brandie) Bell, of Bryan, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers, Jeff Bell, of Defiance, Bill Bell, of Searcy, Arkansas, Rob Bell, of Defiance, Dude Bell, of Little Rock, Arkansas and Harvey Bell, of Orland, Indiana and one sister, Jane. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for David R. Bell will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will follow at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
