Charlotte A. Barns

Charlotte A. Barns, age 79, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 7:31 P.M.. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Anna’s House at Hillside Country Living, near Bryan, where she was resident. Mrs. Barns was employed by Allied Moulded and then retired from Pioneer Transformer after twenty years of service. She attended Hillsdale Assembly of God Church in Jonesville, Michigan. Charlotte A. Barns was born on May 18, 1931, in Hillsdale County, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond and Mable (Wilson) Stenger. She married Joseph M. Barns on November 26, 1947, in Hillsdale, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2008. Mrs. Barns is survived by one son, Larry Barns, of Bryan, two daughters, Carolyn (Lowell) Traxler, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Barbara (John) Carpenter, Jr., of West Unity, Ohio, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mary Fowle, Tecumseh, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Allen Barns, and one brother, David Stenger. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 22, 2011. Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Dennis Haarer officiating. Interment will follow in Frontier Cemetery, Camden, Michigan. Memorials in the name of Charlotte M. Barns may be given to Hillsdale Assembly of God Church or to Anna’s House at Hillside Country Living.
