Mary E. Krill

October 20, 1925 — April 10, 2011

Mary E. Krill, age 85, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:00 A.M. on Sunday, April 10, 2011, in the arms of her husband of sixty-five years, Ralph, at Fountain Park Inn and Villas in Bryan after a brief illness. Mrs. Krill was a 1943 graduate of Edgerton High School and graduated from Flower Hospital School of Nursing 1946. While in nursing school, she served as a nurse cadet for the World War II efforts and was named beauty queen at her husband’s basic training graduation in 1945 in Tyler, Texas. After graduation from nursing school, she worked at Columbus Children’s Hospital for a short time, raised her family and then was employed by the Bryan Medical Group for over twenty years. She was a member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church in Edgerton, the Emanuel United Methodist Women and Evening Star Chapter #14, Order of the Eastern Star, in Edgerton. She was also an avid writer of poetry. Mary E. Krill was born on October 20, 1925, in Melbern, Ohio, the daughter of Paul W. and Francis (Eaton) Unger. She married Ralph L. Krill on November 10, 1946, in Edgerton and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Kathy (Larry) Lineberger, two sons, David (Linda) Krill and Neil (Sharon) Krill, all of Edgerton, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Jean Unger, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Walter Unger. Services for Mary E. Krill will be private, with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to Emanuel United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
