Frances I. Colbart

Frances I. Colbart, age 98, formerly a longtime resident of Edon, Ohio, died at 7:28 P.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility in Hillsdale, Michigan, where she was a resident. She had also been a resident of Hicksville, Ohio, for twenty years prior to moving back to Edon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Edon United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Frances I. Colbart was born on October 29, 1912, in Miller City, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Amy (Ladd) Wright. She married John R. Colbart in June 1933, and he preceded her in death on August 3, 1989. Mrs. Colbart is survived by two sons, Ronald (Jeanne) Colbart, of Reading, Michigan, and James Colbart, of Ball Lake, Indiana, one daughter-in-law, Nora Colbart, of Edon, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Naomi Myers, of Waterloo, Indiana. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were one son, Richard Colbart, and one brother, Paul Wright. Visitation for Frances I. Colbart will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio. Services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Reverend David Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
