Beverly J. Kundard, age 82, of Edon, Ohio, died at 2:30 A.M. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in her home. She was a 1944 graduate of Angola High School, a member of the Edon United Methodist Church, and a member of the Friends of the Edon Public Library. Beverly was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who worked alongside her husband, Ronald, in the Kundard Funeral Home in Edon for forty-six years until their retirement in 1991. She also loved to bake and make “Grandma” cookies. Beverly J. Kundard was born on June 2, 1928, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Mortoff) Randolph. She married Ronald E. Kundard on December 8, 1946, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1991. Beverly is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Lee) Thiel, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Jan (Gary) Chrisman, one son, Lynn Kundard, both of Edon, two grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Stamper, of Findlay, Ohio, and Cody (Britni) Chrisman, of Blakeslee, Ohio, one great-grandchild, Corbin Chrisman, and two expected blessings later this year. She is also survived by three sisters, Patricia (Robert) Niedernhofer, of Springfield, Illinois, Sharon (Dick) Kasaba, of Dearborn, Michigan, and Nancy (David) McIlvaine, of Creston, Ohio, and two brothers, Thomas Randolph, of Greenfield, Indiana, and Dr. Jerry (Linda) Randolph, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved companion, Riley. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were her parents, two sisters, Paula Jones and Sondra Ervin, and one brother, John Randolph. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Services will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. in the Edon United Methodist Church with Pastor David Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to Friends of the Edon Public Library or to the Edon United Methodist Church.
