Violet K. Reynolds

Violet K. Reynolds, age 77, of Defiance , Ohio, and most recently of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 8:15 A.M. on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Defiance VFW Post #3360 Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing, fishing, animals and flowers. Violet K. Reynolds was born on September 29, 1933, in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Madelena (Hay) Goodwin. She married Harold Reynolds and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her children, William Ankney, of Defiance, Kim Epple, of Evansport, Ohio, Daniel (Jodi) Ankney, of Defiance, Dennis (Rosalee) Ankney, of Hicksville, Ohio, David (Deb Aden) Ankney, of Defiance, Thomas (Sindy) Ankney, of Oakwood, Ohio, and James (Ruth) Ankney, of New Bavaria, Ohio, four stepchildren, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-great-grandchildren, one brother, Virgil (Dorothy) Goodwin, of Ney, Ohio, and one sister, Sandra (Robert) Mansfield, of Sherwood, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, two brothers, Roger and Bob Goodwin, and two sisters, Marcella Dockery and Patsy Jean Goodwin. Visitation for Violet K. Reynolds will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Jack Teeple officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Memorials are requested to the Defiance County Humane Society.
