Ruth M. Aldrich-Kerby

Ruth M. Aldrich-Kerby, age 85, of Bryan, Oho and formerly a longtime resident of Adrian, Michigan and of Somerset Center, Michigan, died at 6:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bryan, Ohio where she was a resident. Mrs. Aldrich-Kerby was a 1943 graduate of Fayette High School and had retired from Fayette Tubular with thirteen years of service in 1988. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Clark Lake, Michigan. Ruth M. Aldrich-Kerby was born on May 28, 1925, in Fayette, Ohio, the daughter of Dr. Emery H. and Carmie E. (Snow) Smith. She married Clair S. Aldrich on November 2, 1946 and he preceded her on September 3, 1989. She then married Charles D. Kerby on June 11, 1994, and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1997. Mrs. Aldrich-Kerby is survived by one brother, Merit W. (Dorothea) Smith, of Bryan, four nephews and nieces, Dean (Linda) Smith, of Lakeland, Florida, Kent (Sharon) Smith, of Fostoria, Ohio, Vicki DeLong and Pamela (Leon) Franks, both of Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded by her parents, one brother, Staten Smith and one niece, Helen Lewis. Services for Ruth M. Aldrich-Kerby will be held at a later date with interment in Lafayette Township Cemetery , Ithaca, Michigan. Memorials are requested to the Williams County Humane Society.
